Moment of Fame

We had a very random morning today. As many of you know, I work for Brooke's husband Jared shipping ColcaSac's. They were in the New York Times this morning, very exciting! I was going about my business this morning with the kids and doing stuff around they house and I get a knock on the door. I saw a car in my driveway and the driver was looking at me. I don't like to answer the door for strangers (have the hardest time turning away solicitors), but I decided to chance it especially since he saw me. Well it was Channel 5 news wanting to do a story on ColcaSac, like right then. I frantically make phonecalls and talk to Jared, tell my Mom, all while running amuck trying to tend to kids needs (I was watching Isaac's little girlfriend this morning too). So they come in and start filming stuff, hook me up to a mic and get to work. They were in and out in about 30 minutes and I was thinking they wanted to do it in the next day or so, it would at least give me some more time to prepare. I am totally embarrassed (even though I am telling all of you), I know I am going to look like a fool. The story will be on the news tonight, Channel 5 (4:00, 5:00, or 6:00 he didn't have details quite yet). I may have a different kid on my hip in each shot, but what do you do. The first thing my Mom asked me is if I got ready today. THANK GOODNESS I did. I almost didn't. I went for a run while Isaac was at preschool today and I didn't think I would have enough time to hop in the shower before I had to pick him up again. But I had some time to spare and even decided to put some makeup on (which is rare these days). This might be a lesson to make more time for myself in the mornings in case they decide to come back and ask that I model for them ;)
