Operation De-clutter

My friend posted on her blog to have a goal to get rid of 100 things in her house. I got to thinking how badly I need to do this, but like her, I tend to hold on to things for no reason and will have a hard time parting with them. I have decided to take it to a whole new level and completely reorganize each room. I tell you this because I feel by writing it down or vocalizing it, I will have the will to succeed. Ryan and I have been tossing back and forth the idea of remodeling and as I think if it I get overwhelmed wanting to do it all at once. Well that isn't realistic so I figure by reorganizing/redecorating each room it will make me feel like I remodeled. While I dislike moving, I do like the feeling when you are in your new place. Everything seems so fresh and organized. And since we have been here for 5 years, we have become a bit cluttered. So if any of you have ideas of cheap ways to organize a room, please pass the advice on to me. I will start with my office. Right now we have two desks (one for Ry and one for myself) and it is just WAY too cluttered. And since I am there most of the time, I want it to be a happy environment and not a place that I get annoyed being in because it is so messy. I plan to sell both desks and purchase one we can both use. Get shelves, boxes, etc. Spring Cleaning 101, BRING IT ON!

I love having things organized. It feels so good. Check out The Container Store online. You'll probably find some really good ideas.
