MONK-A-MONKS

Isaac has been pretty naughty lately, getting out of bed 20 times a night, having potty accidents, and he has quite the attitude.  Here I thought he passed up any reversions as he had been so good the first few weeks we had Liam home.  I thought too soon.  My little sister thought it brilliant to tell him to be a good boy or the monk-a-monks will come.  There is no explanation of what they are, so he has left it to his imagination.  I wonder what he thinks they are, I would love to be in his mind.  I know when he needs to go potty though, he says "Monk-a-Monks not coming, they hiding".  It works for now, I won't egg it on but it beats having to clean up dirty underwear.  He has always been such a soft spoken boy, but if he wants something he is getting quite bossy. "Give me Milk, RIGHT NOW!!"  (pointing his finger at you). I love it all though, he makes me laugh all the time.  He is still so sweet with Liam.  Always asking where he is then giving him kisses. They are going to be the best of friends.  Any suggestions on putting him to bed easily would be helpful.  He knows how to manipulate us.  The other night it took him 2.5 hours to finally fall asleep!  I can't have that any more. HELP!!

I am do sorry he is being a pill...so is Abby. She will no longer go to bed in her big girl bed or her room. She now falls asleep on our bedroom floor and then we move her into her bed after she falls asleep. But by the middle of the night she ends up back on the floor. Not ideal but at least she is sleeping and not in our bed. If you get better tips let me know. Hopefully I will see you at book club tonight and we can chat more.

well, I know it isn't great to reward your kids for the things they SHOULD be doing but it seems to work in our family so whatever. I have a chart on the fridge with 35 squares on it. Whenever Luke stays in his room after we put him down, he gets a sticker the next morning. After he fills the chart up, he gets to choose a toy. He has earned a Nascar and Bakugan ball things. He loves getting his sticker in the morning and we remind him at night what he is working towards. It works for us.
