"Did it!"

I have spent the last three days cooped up in the house with Isaac DETERMINED to potty train him.  We threw away the diapers (not really, because I will be using them for this next baby) and went straight to big boy underwear and no pull ups!  I consider myself a patient person, but this definitely tests that patience.  I seriously about gave up on Saturday afternoon and wanted to just throw on the diaper but didn't cave.  I don't want to confuse him by switching between the two so there is no going back to diapers again.  Hopefully I stick to that.  I am feeling pretty good about it today.  First couple of days were a nightmare!  I think we went through 9 pairs of underwear by noon on day one.  Day two he recognized the sign of needing to go  and would tell me, but we didn't always make it quick enough.  Day three he was holding it in and doing a potty dance until I made him sit down and go and he was so relieved and happy for doing so.  At least I know he can hold it though.  He even sleeps through his naps and nights waking up dry!  No pull ups needed.  Still need to work on #2, the first couple of days were a MESS, literally!  He hasn't gone since, I am pretty sure he is holding it in because I found a little nugget between his cheeks earlier today (sorry if that is too much info).  And being the little boy he is, gotta watch where it squirts!  I need to build the courage to get out of the house.  It is a continual work in progress but I will be so happy to have only one in diapers!

Wow, I am amazed!! Now you need to come over here and teach Taedon. Did he show interest in it though before, b/c Tae really hasn't and I don't want to push him, and have to do it all over again. I would love to not do the diaper thing though... lucky (think Napoleon Dynamite)! ha ha

p.s. I'm laughing so hard about his turd in his cheeks... that little turd burglar!

CONGRATS!!! Andrea didnt put pull ups on her boys either. I think that might be a trick! That will be such a relief when you have that new baby.

Jerk. All of you are jerks. I can't believe you have done it! Noah is just now poohing everyday. He's been blocked up for almost 4 months. I'm too afraid to try. He lost all interest when he started getting constipated! You win!

Oh... you give me hope. We are on day two and Connor still hasn't made it to the bathroom in time yet. (Only when I've had him try before naps and bedtime does he actually go in the toilet.) I just keep thinking of how great it will be when it is over. Cause I'm sick of changing my own clothes.

I am so proud right now. I am determined to have Beau potty trained by the end of the day. Will you do it?

I would have never guessed not to do pull ups, but that makes perfect sense I guess. You are brilliant.

Now get over here and potty train my son.

you're brave :) I waited until Luke was nearly 3 because I was nervous about all the dirty underwear. It is going to be so nice to have only one kid in diapers. and a lot less expensive too.

Wow. Good job. Pull ups are spendy so way to save some money! The one thing that's bad about having a potty trained boy is the pee everywhere in the bathroom. I have to wipe ours down at the end of EVERY day. The worst is in the morning when they have their little morning woody. then it's like one of those little wigglin water hose attachements that spray everywhere...eew.
