Isaac's birthday was on Sept 30 and I am now just blogging about it. We had three birthday parties for him due to family feuds, but I am sure he wouldn't complain!
PARTY #1
I am very proud of this cake. I found the idea on Kraft Foods. They have many other ideas too it is great. The master chef (Ryan) of the house was even impressed with my work. It was so fun and easy to do. I had a full on photo shoot with it. It is so hard to get a good shot of food! Props to those photographers.
Isaac didn't like it so much :( Just like his Dad, doesn't like frosting. I made him put his hand in it and this was the result. He hated having his hands dirty. So no, he didn't dig it and it didn't last very long.
He did better once he had his own spoon, but kept spitting the cake out after each bite.
Birthday gift from Mom and Dad. We got him this little pop up tent with a bunch of those balls, which end up all over the house, but he loves it!
PARTY #2
Of course we had to celebrate his birthday on the actual day. We just kept it simple and ordered Cafe Rio and hung out at the park with some family.
Strike a pose! He kept pursing his little lips and walking around like this all night. Too cute.
His awesome Tonka truck that he loves!
Aunt Gona (Jordan) got him his first sport's gear.
He loves to give "Loves" to everyone, especially his little cousins!
PARTY #3
We planned to have a party at the park so all the kids could run around. It rained all day! It was perfect the Friday before and the Sunday after, just not the day of. Of course! The hour before we called everyone to come to our place. It was a little crammed but it worked out great!
Round 2 with the cake, still no luck. I just smeared it all over him to make it look like he had fun. I even tried practicing during the week with cupcakes and nothing. Just isn't a cake boy.
Dad kept stuffing his shirt with tissue paper to give him some muscles.
MOAB
We headed to Moab this past weekend for "The Other Half". It was a fun little get away and great weather!
Isaac cheering Momma on!
We never get the chance to explore Moab when we are there so we headed to Dead Horse Point. BEAUTIFUL, absolutely breathtaking. So worth it. Next time we will hit The Arches.
Gardener Village
Of course we made a stop to see the witches. It was WAY too cold when we went so we only lasted for about 30 minutes. We are going to head there again to enjoy it better. I just love Gardener Village.
I can't believe Halloween is a couple of weeks away. I am so terrible and haven't done much as far as decorating. I don't like carving pumpkins too early because they just rot. So I think that will be our family activity this week. I am sure I will be the only one enjoying it!
